the Red Room
♫ Our new venue is in the Red Room at 1010 East Avenue, in a beautiful old house belonging to and adjacent to Asbury Methodist Church. The house was built in 1907 in an elegant Tudor style, and now houses the Dining and Caring Center and church meeting rooms. There is ample free parking behind the church. The Red Room is on the left when you enter the house from the driveway.
♫ We held our first meeting there on Monday, March 19 when John Covach of the Eastman School of Music spoke on “Rock Guitarists and Their Use of Classical and Fingerstyle Techniques.” Meetings will continue to be held on the third Monday of the month.
♫ Our next meeting will be on Monday, May 21 and will feature a presentation by Gregg Franklin on bass guitar as accompaniment. Look forward to seeing you there!
