The Twelfth Annual Classical Guitar Weekend at the Cleveland Institute of Music (Jason Vieaux, CIM Guitar Department Head) will take place Friday, June 1 through Sunday, June 3, 2012.

Please join this year’s roster of internationally acclaimed artists in a concentrated series of recitals, world premiere performances, master classes, lecture presentations and exhibits celebrating the classical guitar and art music, solo and ensemble, old and new.

Classical Guitar Weekend is presented in the heart of University Circle - Cleveland, Ohio’s world renowned cultural and educational center - by Guitars International in cooperation with the Cleveland Institute of Music with generous additional support from Galli Genius Strings, the Cleveland community and beyond.

The inaugural Eastman Summer Guitar Master Classes are designed for college and advanced high school guitarists wishing to refine and develop their artistry, technique, and interpretive skills. Each day will have lectures, performance master classes, industry vendors, and concerts by artist faculty. The final event will be a participants’ concert. All events will be held in Eastman’s new Hatch Recital Hall, a perfect venue for guitarists.
