Welcome to The Rochester Guitar Club, an informal group for the appreciation and enjoyment of guitar music, lore, and playing. Come on out to a meeting! We meet twice a month: on the first Sunday at Tango Cafe, and the third Monday at Abilene’s Bar & Lounge. Both meetings begin at 7:00PM, but please come early to patronize the businesses and meet fellow members. Check our event calendar, which lists more information about monthly Guitar Club meetings, guitar music events in and around Rochester, NY, and other guitar-related events.
Be sure to visit us on MySpace as well.
Discuss what’s going on at the Rochester Guitar Club Forum.

♫ RGC recently completed a couple of successful recording sessions for the ”Music Show,” a cable TV program recorded at the Time Warner studio in Webster on July 26 and August 2, for Channel 12. Time Warner has syndication on other local access channels in most of Rochester’s suburbs. The Music Show regularly features local musicians. The recent recordings will produce one or two episodes.

These sessions are about RGC, what we are doing in general, and feature some of our regulars in a round robin session much like at a typical RGC meeting. The Christmas material will air in a separate show that will include other musicians. The first show(s) should be available in about a month. We will post information when we receive it. See our Resources page for “Music Show” air times.
Producer, Ray Braselton, would like to do another Christmas session in the fall focusing more on the Guitar Club. So, if you missed the earlier events, you will still have another opportunity to perform a seasonal piece for the Christmas show. If you are interested or have questions, please contact Richard via the Contact link on this website or at Rochesterguitarclub@gmail.com.
