RGC Round Robin Meeting, September 19, 2016

Greg Chako opened the September meeting of RGC with his interesting and informative “Tip of the Month.” Greg explained in detail his use of chords in fourths instead of the traditional thirds to embellish melodic progressions. This technique adds interest and variety to most genres of music and works particularly well on the guitar which is tuned mostly in fourths. However, it can be much more challenging on other instruments. Greg illustrated his concept on his guitar and distributed printed illustrations. His discussion prompted many questions and a l lively discussion which was followed by the usual round robin session.
