The RGC Round Robin Meeting this month featured individual songs by attendees as well as a medley of Beatles tunes. In addition, the group had discussions on how players work out their arrangements for songs, how to overcome nervousness playing in front of an audience, fingerstyle playing techniques, and an impromptu jam on Neil Sedaka’s song, “Happy Birthday Sweet Sixteen.” The jam was prompted by some of the chord changes of “Sweet Sixteen” being the same as some in “Lover Come Back To Me.” The two versions of “Summertime” featured different arrangements, adding an interest factor to the Round Robin session.
