Dear Friends,
It has been such a tragic several weeks with the war in Ukraine. The devastation, destruction and loss of innocent lives has been very difficult to stomach. I’ve had tears in my eyes nearly every day from the news updates. Words cannot describe the tragedy the people of Ukraine are facing.
Finding ways to help can be very difficult and it can certainly feel like we are all powerless as individuals. However, I am personally a big believer that an act of kindness however small can make an impact. I urge and encourage all of you out there that have the means to find ways to help.
Let’s send goods to those in desperate need in Ukraine as well as those fleeing the violence. Let’s donate funds to verified charitable causes that will contribute in meaningful ways. Let’s take in refugee families with open arms and welcome them into our communities. Let’s support the Russian people that oppose the war. Let’s protect our brothers and sisters of Eastern European descent here in the United States including Russian and Ukrainian Americans from being unfairly and unjustly targeted. Let’s CREATE art to make sure we do not forget this moment in time.
However small the gesture, healing must begin somewhere and somehow. Here is my offering of a beautiful Adagio by JS Bach.
Peace to you all,
