Classical guitar “Open Mic” events are planned for Webster Public Library and Brighton Memorial Library. Contact Rochester Classical Guitar (RCG) at
rocclassicalguitar@gmail.com if you are interested in performing at these events. Classical guitarists of all ages and ability levels are encouraged to participate.
The first library event will be 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., Sept. 15 at Webster Public Library, and the second event will be 2 to 3:45 p.m., Nov. 20 at Brighton Memorial Library. Both events are
under sponsorship of Rochester Classical Guitar (RCG).
RCG is dedicated to enriching the arts and connecting communities in the Greater Rochester Area through classical guitar. Since 2016, RCG has been presenting performances and masterclasses with internationally-
acclaimed artists and providing opportunities for local musicians, students and hobbyists alike to perform and learn. RCG started with Classical Guitar Night, which continues to be held the first Sunday of each month at 6:30 p.m. at The Little Theatre Cafe in Rochester. One of RCG’s newest events was a three-night guitar festival in April which attracted internationally-known guitarists to the Rochester area. Given the response to this celebration of classical guitar, plans are under way to hold another festival in the spring of 2023.
